'Pretty Little Liars' season 6B news: New poster reveals girls carrying a coffin; season's new big bad may be deadlier than A

ABC Family’s thriller drama series “Pretty Little Liars” will return to the small screen for the second part of its sixth season bringing more mysteries and troubles for the girls.

The poster shared on the show’s official Facebook page seemingly suggests the death of another character. The main members of the cast Aria Montgomery, Hanna Marin, Spencer Hastings, Emily Fields, and Alison DiLaurentis are all wearing black dresses with their sunglasses on as they each hold a portion of a coffin. The image is accompanied by words that read “Are you strong enough to carry your secrets?” The girls also have individual photographs as they strike a fierce pose for the camera.

Although details for the next installment are being kept under wraps, some fans speculate that the person they are carrying might still be Mrs. D since her killer has not been revealed yet. However, it remains to be seen if this indeed becomes the case.

Executive producer Marlene King previously teased to MTV that there will be a character who will meet his demise and which may result to the season’s current big bad seeking revenge for him, “This Big Bad has an agenda, and it’s to find out why this person passes away and to seek revenge on the person responsible. And it will not stop until that person pays, and [the Big Bad] will kill people to get that answer.”

“Time doesn’t move slowly in Rosewood anymore. It’s speeding up, and we’re going very quickly. This is a mystery where in every finale, you’re going to get a third of the way to the end,” she added.

The report also stated that the new villain seems to be a lot deadlier than the previously mysterious “A.” “The situations are more life or death, so it’s not just all dolls and games. There’s none of that stuff. It’s definitely not fun and games he’s not trying to play with them. He threatens them,” Ashley Benson warned.

“Pretty Little Liars” season 6B is slated to premiere on Jan. 12, 2016.
