'Pokmon Sun and Moon' release date, news: Starter evolutions revealed; special demo comes out on Oct. 18

“Pokmon Sun” and “Pokmon Moon” are going to hit the shelves on Nov. 18, and as the game’s release date draws near, The Pokmon Company continues to unveil bits and pieces of the features and Pokmon who are going to be in the game.

Trainers who haven’t decided which starter Pokmon to pick will now have a little more information to help them choose because a trailer showcasing the evolved forms of the starter Pokmon has recently come out.

It is time to introduce Pokmon trainers to Dartrix, Torracat, and Brionne.

Dartrix is the evolved form of Rowlet, and this Pokmon can detect enemies in the vicinity without seeing them. Dartrix uses its bladed feathers to attack and it can even change the trajectory of the quills to get through its opponents defenses. Dartrix is a Grass/Flying-type Pokmon

Torracat is the evolved form of Litten. This Fire-type Pokmon can detect enemies even if they are hidden. Torracat uses its flame sac to produce flame and the Pokmon’s emotions also controls the yellow bell-shaped sac’s temperature.

Brionne is the evolved form of Popplio. This Water-type Pokmon enjoys dancing and it actually uses dance moves to distract its opponents. While Brionne’s dancing distracts the enemy, it also creates a batch of exploding balloons before slapping them into its target, causing the balloons to explode.

Meanwhile, a special demo version of “Pokmon Sun” and “Pokmon Moon” is coming out on Oct. 18. A special Pokmon called Ash-Greninja is also included in the demo, and the Pokmon can be transferred to the full game when it comes out.

The trailer also introduced a place called Festival Plaza, where trainers can meet and interact with one another. Players can also earn Festival Coins that can be used to buy items in shops if they fulfill other player’s requests.
