Game developer Niantic revealed that their updates will help “Pokmon GO” players prepare before facing battles in Pokmon Gyms and in getting more Candy to evolve the pocket monsters.
According to the official Pokmon site, the users will be aided by their respective Team Leaders before a showdown. In the recently released feature dubbed Pokmon Appraisal, Candela, Blanche or Spark will let gamers know which Pokmon have the best attack and defense capabilities for taking over Gyms.
The widely speculated Buddy Pokmon feature, which lets the player choose a creature from their collection to travel alongside their avatar, was also confirmed. This opens in-game rewards and experiences in acquiring helpful bonuses including Candy as they walk around the map. The release date for the upcoming feature has yet to be revealed.
As fans wait, they could first try Gym battles in the current version of the game. Pokemon Go Champ has listed Pokemon based on their effectiveness in battle based on their Basic Attacks, Special Attacks and Attacking Power.
The table revealed that the most powerful pocket monster is Snorlax with its basic moves, Lick and Zen Headbutt, and special abilities called Hyper Beam and Body Slam. The attacks have a success rate of about 92 to 100 percent.
It is followed by Dragonite with a 78.55 to 99 percent success rate and is equipped with attacks like Dragon Breath, Steel Wing, Dragon Pulse and Dragon Claw. Meanwhile, third on the list is Lapras, with Frost Breath, Ice Shard, Blizzard and Ice Beam attacks. The latter’s Ice-type capabilities have been noted to defeat Dragonite easily.
Vaporeon lands on fourth place with Water Gun as its basic attack and Hydro Pump, Aqua Tail and Water Pulse for special ones. Moreover, the fifth powerful creature is Arcanine with its Fire Fang, Bite, Fire Blast and Flamethrower abilities.
Down the list, Exeggutor, Slowbro, Blastoise, Gyarados, Muk, Venusaur, Nidoqueen, Charizard, Wigglytuff, Poliwrath, Golduck, Clefable, Nidoking, Rhydon, and Dewgong can also be found. On the other hand, the best Gym defenders are said to be Lapras, Snorlax and Aragonite, in order.
