The Pokmon Company International and Nintendo recently unveiled new details about the upcoming two new core Pokmon games”Pokmon Sun” and “Pokmon Moon.” The reveal included details about the two new legendary Pokmons, Solgaleo for “Pokmon Sun” and Lunala for “Pokmon Moon,” the new region that the game will be set in, as well as the people that the player will meet on his or her journey to becoming a Pokmon Master.
“Pokmon Sun” and “Pokmon Moon” will both be set in the region of Alola, a place that has four tropical islands and one artificial island. This new region is said to be inhabited by a number of Pokmon that have never been seen in previously known regions.
Players will get to meet the local Pokmon professor, Professor Kukui, as they begin their adventures in the region of Alola. Professor Kukui is described as someone who is “passionate about his research into Pokmon moves and has sometimes taken direct hits from Pokmon if there was something to be learned from it.”
The player will also meet two young Pokmon trainers in the beginning of the adventure. One is Lillie, a “mysterious” girl who assists Professor Kukui. Despite her interest in Pokmon, Lillie is not fond of bringing Pokmon into battle. Somehow and in some way, Lillie will be a major part in the story of the games.
The second one is Hau, described as someone who is a “Pokmon-loving young boy with a big appetite.” His favorite food is the local treat called “malasadas,” and he will be one of the first friends of players early on in the story. Hau has a big heart and great love for all Pokmon.
“Pokmon Sun” and “Pokmon Moon” will be released for the Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 18.
