With more than 65 million active users, the success of Niantic’s “Pokemon GO” has been attributed to a number of factors, and one of which is the Gen 2 Pokemon creatures.

Every trainer aims to evolve Pokemon, and there are a good number of tips and tricks that will make the process faster and more efficient. Luckily for gamers, several sources that could help have appeared online.

An article from VG24/7 presented various styles and approaches used to evolve different kinds of Pokemon creatures. By using the Buddy System, players can set a particular Pokemon as a buddy who will help them earn extra goodies as they move around. The buddy can collect additional candies, which trainers use to make selected creatures evolve.

The publication also advised for players to nurture Pokemon eggs. There are three types of PokeEggs: the 2km, 5km, and 10km eggs. The common Pokemon species are usually found in the 2km eggs, while rarer ones are likely inside 10km eggs. Some rare Pokemon that players can hatch from eggs include Sudowoodoo, Mareep, and Chansey. Moreover, 10km eggs also yield the ultra rare Pokemon like Miltank, Aerrodactyl, and Snorlax.

Meanwhile, there is also Eevee — one of the most popular Pokemon ever appear in the game. Eevee can evolve into Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, or Umbreon. The latter two are the latest additions coming from the Gen 2 update.

Players can influence the evolutionary process for Eevee. They can do so by nicknaming their Eevee to “Sparky” if they want it to become Jolteon. To get Vaporeon, they should nickname their Eevee “Rainer,” while renaming it “Pyro” will let it evolve into Flareon.

As for the two latest additions, renaming it “Sakura” will result in getting Espeon, while using “Tamao” will equate into Umbreon.
