PlayStation Plus September 2015 FREE games revealed; 'Grow Home' included after winning gamers' vote


Sony revealed the new set of free games for PlayStation Plus members to enjoy for the month of September, and it included one game that players got to choose to be included in the roster.

As announced through the official PlayStation Blog, Sony’s “Vote to Play” initiative program gave players the chance to vote for the game they wanted to be given for free for the month of September, while not all games were given the chance to be offered for free, runner-ups in the voting period will be offered at a discounted price.

“PlayStation Plus members! Your voices have been heard. Thanks to our Vote to Play campaign which gave you the ability to vote on a game for our September Plus offering we’re delighted to reveal your selection, and the first title in next month’s free games lineup: Grow Home on PS4.”

Runner-up games in the voting period, however, will be put on sale for half of the month of September.

“If you voted for Armello or Zombie Vikings, don’t worry: Plus members will get a 30% discount on both starting on September 1st, all the way through September 15th.”

For the Vote to Play winner, Grow Home will be available for PS4 players. The game will put players in an open-world adventure as the robot BUD (Botanical Utility Droid), in search for a certain kind of florathe Star Plantthat will be able to help his home planet. Jump and climber higher and higherbut be careful not to fall all the way down!

The five other games that will be available for free are the following, according to their respective consoles:

PlayStation 4:

  • Teslagrad
  • Xeodrifter

PlayStation 3:

  • Teslagrad
  • Twisted Metal

PlayStation Vita:

  • La Mulana EX
  • Xeodrifter

The free PlayStation Plus games for the month of September will be available for download starting September 1.
