PlayStation Plus: free games predictions for August suggest AAA titles and Galak-Z coming

Another month, another set of free games for members of PlayStation Plus!

PlayStation Plus members will once again get their fix of monthly free games this August. For an annual fee of $50, what players get oftentimes turn out to be more than what they initially paid for.

For the month of August, fans have been expecting a number of titles to come for free across PlayStation platforms.

In a report by Bidness ETC, Sony is rumored to be featuring AAA titles for free to PS Plus members for the month of August, in an attempt to go toe-to-toe with Microsoft’s Games’ Gold rewards program, which featured Assassins Creed: Black Flag for the month of July.

One of the games expected for the August bundle of free PS Plus games is Galak-Z, a new and upcoming animated arcade shooter developed by 17-BIT Games. Described as “a modern, A.I. and physics-driven open-world action game,” the game will be released on August 4, but is rumored to be included in the PS Plus August line-up to give it a wider range of exposure. Galak-Z will be available, when released, for the PS4 and the PS Vita.
