PlayStation Plus February free games news: 'Crypt of Necrodancer' not included, may include 'Resident Evil' and 'Shovel Knight'


PlayStation users are subscribed to PlayStation Plus are already looking forward to the upcoming free titles for February, as January is about to end. Although Sony is yet to announce the free titles, there are already speculations and predictions from the community.

For PlayStation 4 users, there are rumors that “Not A Hero” may come as a free download for PlayStation Plus members this coming month. Initially, “Crypt of Necrodancer” was also guessed as the other title that may be offered for its members. However, the rumor was debunked after the game’s official Twitter page explicitly said that it will not, noted Latin Post. Aside from these, another title rumored for the said console is “Shovel Knight.”

On the other hand, PlayStation 3 owners may get “Resident Evil HD” while PlayStation Vita may also get “Shovel Knight,” along with “Metal Slug 3” as free downloads for the coming month.

As these are just guesses, subscribers of PlayStation Plus are best to take this with a grain of salt until Sony officially announces its offer for February. In the meantime, subscribed members can enjoy the free titles for January.

For PlayStation 4 owners, they can enjoy “Hardware: Rival” where they can choose to be a solo or team player in a vehicle combat or “Grim Fandango Remastered” for the remastered adventure game that follows the quest to the underworld.

For PlayStation 3 users, they can enjoy “Dragon Age: Origins” for the role playing game in the fictional land of Ferelden or “Medal of Honor: Warfighter,” which follows the story of courageous soldiers in a war.

As for owners of the PlayStation Vita console, they can play “Legends of War: Patton’s Campaign” for a tactical and action battle game or “Nihilumbra” for puzzle games.

Sony will announce the free games on Jan. 27.
