PlayStation 4.5 release date: New details will be announced at E3 2016


As Electronic Entertainment Expo is nearing, more hype is surrounding the new consoles that will come out as fans are waiting for new details and announcements. One of those consoles that fans are excited for is the PlayStation 4.5 or PlayStation Neo.

As stated in reports, PlayStation 4 has already reached a new milestone for the company, Sony, as they have over 40 million consoles sold. This may be a sign that a new type of console will be available for the gamers to play with. With this achievement, they were able to beat other consoles in terms of sales. Xbox One was able to sell 21 million units while Wii U achieved of selling 13 million consoles.

Andrew House, president of Sony interactive Entertainment (SIE), has really appreciated the fans for continually supporting the console by saying, “We are truly grateful for the enormous support from our fans and partners across the globe, which helped us achieve this significant milestone in such a short span of time.”

The new features of the new console will focus on supporting the new virtual reality (VR) for gaming which will be a big step. Although not all games are veering towards the idea of virtual reality yet, and the new console may be opening the door for that idea.

One of the specs that fans are expecting is also that it can play games with 4K resolution. Sony already made a manual or instruction that would come with the console so the developers will have the capability in making their games into 4K resolution. The video streaming companies, Netflix also uses this kind of technology.

The processing power is another feature that makes fans of the consoled hyped up for the release. The CPU for the console will still remain the same, but the Jaguar Cell will be set to 21GHz.
