Presumably in the spirit of the upcoming latest installment in Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise titled “Dead Men Tell No Tales,” a super fan from Northern Ireland has spent thousands to look like her idol Captain Jack Sparrow.

According to Mirror, Amanda Large has changed her name to Amanda Sparrow, got similar tattoos, dreadlocks, and even had some gold teeth put in to look like Johnny Depp’s iconic character in the film. The only thing she puts off is the beard.

The mother of four children stumbled upon the first movie, “The Curse of the Black Pearl,” this year when one of her kids told her she looks so much like the pirate. “My daughter Carla Rose screamed in front of the TV – ‘Mum you are so much like Jack Sparrow!’ and I was like – ‘who is Jack Sparrow’? I settled down to watch 15 minutes with her because it was on Sky, and I was instantly hooked,” she said.

She added that she can identify and connect with Sparrow, so she spent almost 4,000 for the transformation, “The way he gets on with life, his freedom and his walk is so much like me in personality – I’m quite masculine and have that sense. The way he deals with things is identical to me. I just really related to him.”

The 43-year-old woman who works as a part-time salesperson now dresses like Sparrow every day. She also does impersonations in parties and charity work. Amanda also revealed that her kids are proud of her, and she loves getting people’s reaction and their responses, “It’s made me realise I don’t need a partner and if I got one, they’d have to accept me as Jack… Life’s too short to dress normally and why would you, when you could spend every day as Mrs. Sparrow.”

“Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” is slated to hit the big screen on July 7, 2017.
