"Persona 5" release date delayed to summer 2016

“Persona 5” was initially expected to come this year, but due to delays, it has been slated instead for a summer 2016 release. Nonetheless, some information had been revealed regarding the upcoming game.

According to Game director, Katsura Hashino, “Summer 2016 is an accurate release windows for Europe,” noted N4BB. As he specifically singled out Europe, it is highly likely that other regions will have a later release. However, he did not mention the release date for other regions.

It is also unclear what the reason for the delay is, but according to rumors, it may be because its developers, Altus, is enhancing the game for better market acceptance. It may also be developing DLCs for the current game as it has not yet introduced expansions previously.

“Persona 5” will take the storyline of high school students having different personalities that enable them to go against antagonists. As reported by Realty Today, Hashino said, “For this game, we’re going with a challenge that fuses together a juvenile school setting that is as large as life, together with a picaresque romance. In the previous game, we wrote a story that involved having a justice group chase down a bad guy that could easily be feared by just about anyone.” Additionally, Altus revealed that the characters will have the capability to steal the hearts of the evil.

The main character of “Persona 5” will be The Phantom, voiced by Jun Fukuyama. Meanwhile, other characters who will lend their voices to the game are Ann Takamaki (Nana Mizuki), Ryuki Sakamoto (Mamoru Miyano), and the talking car named Morgana (Ikue Otani).

A trailer was released to assure the fans that the developers are working hard for its development as well as update fans especially those who have been waiting for news regarding “Persona 5.”

“Persona 5” will be released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in summer 2016.
