Good news for gamers who do not want to play Blizzard’s multiplayer first-person shooter video game, “Overwatch,” on their desktop computers. The game developer announced through their official website that another version of the game called “Overwatch: Origins Edition” will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 next year.
On Battle.net, game developer Blizzard Entertainment wrote, “‘Overwatch’ is coming to Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in spring 2016. Prepare for battle by pre-purchasing today and receive the Noire Widowmaker skin at launch!”
The console version, “Overwatch: Origins Edition,” is now available for pre-order. Gamers who will purchase this game will be able to use all 21 heroes from “Overwatch,” play launch-day maps, and unlock exclusive Overwatch-themed content for other games developed by Blizzard.
In “Overwatch,” the limited edition items that can be unlocked include vintage skins for Soldier: 76 and Reaper called Strike-Commander Morrison and Blackwatch Reyes, respectively. Also, the origins of Overgrown Bastion, Slipstream Tracer, and Security Chief Pharah can be unlocked.
For those who play “Diablo III,” an equipment called Mercy’s Wings can be collected. In “StarCraft II,” all-new portraits of Reaper, Winston, Tracer, Pharah, Soldier 76, and Bastion are unlockable.
“Hearthstone” players who purchase “Overwatch: Origins Edition” can get new card back skins. Meanwhile, a Baby Winston Pet can be trained and summoned in “World of Warcraft.” Lastly, Tracer Hero can be played in “Heroes of the Storm.”
A Collector’s Edition for the original “Overwatch” title can be purchased exclusively at retail stores as well. It contains a full-color art book, the game’s soundtrack, Soldier: 76 high-quality collectible statue, and the full-version of “Origins Edition.”
Pre-purchase of “Overwatch: Origins Edition” can be done online for $59.99. Those who will do this will be able to get a Noire Widowmaker Skin when the game launches in June 2016.
