Hope (Summer Fontana) is in ominous trouble in the latest episode of “The Originals.” The Mikaelson siblings had to team up with Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) to save the child.

The episode titled “Keepers of the House” opened with Will (Jason Dohring) kidnapping four children for a diabolic ritual.

With Hayley’s (Phoebe Tonkin) persuasion, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) healed Hope, who started chanting in gibberish. However, the child’s fever resurfaced, and it led Vincent and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) look for the antidote.

Hayley and Marcel went to see a werewolf named Laura, who told them that the children will be sacrificed by the followers of The Hollow. Those people follow the blue light, and they plan to rule the city.

Back in the mansion, Hope warned his father, Klaus (Joseph Morgan), to never look at the blue light.

During their meeting, Will overpowered Vincent, but Elijah managed to stop the former. He placed some magic onto Will so that they could track where Will hid the children.

The two, alongside Hayley, Klaus, and Marcel, found Will in a secluded area as the ritual commenced. Klaus killed Will when he and Marcel were surrounded by a ring. Klaus implored Marcel not to look at the blue lights.

Vincent realized that he could not free Klaus and Marcel unless he killed one of the children. To resolve it, Vincent held Elijah’s hand together with one of the children. With his spell, the child’s body connected with Elijah’s, and Hayley stabbed the latter.

The children woke up, including Hope, who saw her father with blue eyes. Marcel also saw himself inside a blue orb

In the upcoming episode, Klaus and Marcel are experiencing symptoms of The Hollow’s devilish magic. It seems the two will need to face each other.

Meanwhile, Hayley and Elijah are looking to speak with Mary (Debra Mooney) after the former uncovers a mysterious connection between dark magic and her former wolf pack.

Elsewhere, Freya (Riley Voelkel) risks her own life to cure Klaus’ infection. A guilt-ridden Keelin (Christina Moses) must decide between honoring her hypocratic oath to help Freya or escaping.
