“The Originals” star Daniel Gillies is nothing but of profound love and admiration to his wife.
“This is going to sound like the creepiest thing of all time,” Gillies told Entertainment Tonight. “But when I was first married her… I remember just watching her sleep and thinking that is the most beautiful person and I would just watch her for a while,” he continued.
The 41-year-old actor married actress Rachael Leigh Cook in August 2004. And after 12 years, he still could not believe how “beautiful” his spouse is.
Cook, 37, rose to fame for portraying of Laney Boggs in “She’s All That,” a 1999 teen romantic comedy film.
They are now parents of two children — Charlotte, 3, and Theodore, 2.
“But [Charlotte] is a very sweet, older sister to him and she’s day-by-day becoming more and more demonstrative,” said the father-of-two, who is also proud to confirm that the kids inherited some of Cook’s physical characteristics.
When asked if they have plans to give the kids another sibling, a big “No” was his answer. He thinks he’s too old for another baby in the house.
“My wife has got the energy of a 21-year-old and is physically in great condition,” he said. “But me, I have, like, no knees and no shoulders,” he went on to say. At his age, he wants to give all his love, attention, and care to the two little ones.
Meanwhile, in the upcoming episode of the fantasy drama series, The Hollow has a new mysterious pawn. In order to lure the enemy, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Gillies) hosts a party. Also, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) lends his hand for the Mikaelson siblings to uncover the villain’s weakness.
Elsewhere, it seems that Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) knows who murdered her parents, and Freya (Riley Voelkel) will help her unlock her memories.
“The Originals” will continue its fourth season on April 28 on The CW.
