OPPO will be releasing a new variant of its R7 flagship smartphonethe new OPPO R7 Plus with 4GB RAM.
The new variant of the flagship devices comes with an upgrade in the memory department. The new OPPO R7 Plus smartphone packs a massive 4GB RAM along with 64GB built-in internal storage capacity.
The new variant of the device is now available for pre-order over OPPO’s Chinese website and is slated for a release sometime this month. No international release has been mentioned as of the moment.
The new R7 Plus smartphone will cost 3,299 Yuan or around $515 in equivalent. A China Unicom model is also available for 2,999 Yuan or at least $465.
Since the new R7 plus will be sporting mainly the same specs as that of the R7 flagship device, it has a 5-inch AMOLED displa, with 1080×1920 Full HD resolution. It will be equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device runs under a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset with an octa-core ARM Cortex A53 CPU clocking in at 1.5 GHz and an Adreno 405 GPU. In addition to the internal storage, the device also supports external microSD expansion through the use of the SIM 2 slot.
As for the camera, it has a 13-megapixel main rear camera equipped with Schneider-Kreuznach lens, with the capability to shoot videos of up to 1080p Full HD at 30 fps frame rate. It comes coupled with an 8-megapixel front snapper for selfies and video calling functions. It boots on Android Lollipop 5.1.1, with Color OS 2.1 running on top of it. It comes powered by a 4,100 mAh battery with Fast Charging features.
