OnePlus 4 release date, specs news update: Device to have a 4k display?

Being one of the newer smartphone companies, OnePlus was able to make its mark in the industry. It was able to get some good reviews with all of its phones, which includes the OnePlus One, OnePlus 2, and OnePlus 3. As such, it is expected for the upcoming OnePlus 4 will make the same impact as well.

According to reports, not much time has passed ever since OnePlus 3 was released. It has then ruled the market due to its good specs and affordable price, so a lot of users are wondering about the specs and the release date of the OnePlus 4.

OnePlus 4 will have a uniquely designed aluminum curved body, and its screen size will boast a good 5.5 inches that will come along with a 4k display. For its hardware, the phone will have an 8 GB RAM complemented by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Its internal memory will come in 32, 64, and 128 GB variants, and it will run on Oxygen OS like its predecessors.

Thankfully, OnePlus 4 will have an increased battery size, as it will run on 4200 mAh Li-Ion battery. It will also have a dual-sim slot, which is certainly a necessary feature for smartphone users. It will have a primary and secondary camera, which are expected to be at 24 MP and 8 MP respectively.

Meanwhile, Alphr reports that it is possible for the OnePlus 4 to be released as the OnePlus 5 instead. It is simply an issue of tetraphobia, as the number four is actually considered as an unlucky number for the Chinese and other Asian cultures.

Regardless, OnePlus 4 will certainly offer a stiff competition for the iPhone 7 since the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has its burning issues to deal with. For now, though, OnePlus 4 still has no official price and release date, but it is rumored to arrive in the second quarter of next year.
