The OnePlus 2 flagship smartphone has finally been lifted from its invite-only restriction, as the Chinese startup company announced that they will be selling their flagship phone without requiring an invite anymorefor good.
As part of the company hitting their second anniversary on Dec. 17, OnePlus announced via their official forums that they will finally be offering the OnePlus 2 to users without the need for an invite.
“The invite system has been crucial to letting us scale our operations and has given our fans a unique way to share OnePlus with the people in their lives,” OnePlus said. “But we are always trying to enhance the OnePlus experience for you and taking risks to push ourselves and show real improvements. That’s why we’re making the OnePlus 2 invite-freeforever!”
Starting midnight on Dec. 5, the OnePlus 2 will be available for open purchase. Additionally, the new OnePlus X smartphone will be available for purchase without an invite from Dec. 5 to Dec. 7.
In addition to putting their phones for open purchase, OnePlus will also hold a special sale from Dec. 5 to 7. As part of the sale, OnePlus 2 StyleSwap Covers are discounted at 50 percent off, selected OnePlus accessories are marked down at up to 90 percent off their original price, a limited number of first orders will be entitled for a free and exclusive Never Settle OnePlus mouse pad, and all other OnePlus accessories on their online store are discounted at 10 percent off their original price.
People who will order the OnePlus 2 or OnePlus X are given a guarantee that they will receive their order just in time for Christmas.
Additionally, users within the area of New York City are encouraged to keep an eye out on Dec. 7, as the company is set to make one final announcement at the NASDAQ screen regarding the holiday promo, at around 11 A.M. to 12 P.M.
