Rumors have it that the much-awaited second season of “One Punch Man” may arrive after the English-dubbed version of the freshman run concludes its airing in the small screen.

According to reports, the network is allegedly waiting for the English version broadcasted by Adult Swim to finish releasing all the episodes first before launching the new season for the viewers.

However, some are said to be skeptical of the dubbing helmed by Toonami as they were wondering if the humor will be translated well. Now that fans seem to be asking for more, it is predicted that the premiere may take place between October and November as soon as the rerun has concluded. Series creator Yusuke Murata is reportedly currently working on the next installments which are expected to be dubbed in its original Japanese version.

When it comes to the storyline, reports claim that the sophomore season could potentially cover varying themes such as revenge, love, friendship and even betrayal. It is predicted that when the hit anime returns, viewers may see Genos and Saitama at odds with each other.

Their differences apparently will not be caused by competing over who is more powerful and stronger between the two as it was seen previously that the android will not match the abilities of his master. Instead, they will be vying for the heart and attention of the same person. If this comes to fruition, it will be the first time that the protagonist has a potential love interest which is expected to produce some of the most hilarious moments in the narrative.

There are also speculations that the bald superhero will be stripped off of his strength and Genos will fill in his shoes to save the world from threats. The touted villains wreaking havoc include Amai Mask and the return of a more powerful Lord Boros.

Since there is no official preview for season 2 of “One Punch Man,” available information should be taken with a grain of salt.
