'One Punch Man' season 2 release date, spoilers: More information about Blast; Saitama to become a super villain?

Rumors have it that the much awaited season 2 of “One Punch Man” will give more details on Blast, the mysterious character touted as the No. 1 S-Class hero in the Hero Association.

According to reports, it is interesting to note that despite being one of the most powerful among the heroes, Blast is never seen during meetings of the organization when the world faces dangers. However, the new installment may unveil the seeming mystery around him as it appears that there are clues pointing to his appearance in the recent chapter 106 of the webcomic.

Although the picture is said to be unclear, the chapter apparently reveals during a flashback that Blast saved Tatsumaki. The latter then admitted to Saitama that it was her savior that inspired her to become a hero. Similar to him, Blast also saves people as a hobby.

Anime Ride notes that Blast may be related to Saitama, possibly an older brother or even his father. There are also speculations that his limiter may have been removed and he could be psychic that can rule an army of robots. However, it remains to be seen if this comes to fruition.

When it comes to Saitama’s arc, there are assumptions that he may become a super villain in the second run. An alleged sneak peek of the first episode seems to hint that the protagonist will be angry at a group of people, which is deemed to trigger his evil side.

Meanwhile, others believe that his darkness could be brought about by his purported involvement in a love triangle. Reports claim that Saitama may have negative feelings because of new emotions he is feeling. This, in turn, can completely change everything about him especially his easy-going personality.

Since there is no official synopsis yet, available information should be taken with a grain of salt. “One Punch Man” season 2 is expected to be released sometime in 2017.
