The last time fans of the anime series “One Punch Man” saw a new episode was way back in December, and although that is still a little bit fresh in conventional standards, the fact that the first season was a major hit has left the very same fans wondering why a second season hasn’t been announced yet. Will there be a second season anyway?
To recall, the finale of the first season showcased Saitama battling it out against Lord Boros, in a scene where everyone thought the lead character would have been defeated. But because of an amazing punch, he got the best out of it and eventually overwhelmed Lord Boros. Nonetheless, viewers are still hoping for more action and it should some kind of injustice if the creators are not able to do a second season of the highly popular anime series.
According to The Bitbag, “One Punch Man” illustrator Yusuke Murata is busy with other anime projects, which probably is the most tangible reason why there hasn’t been that much talk of a planned October release of season 2. If this really is true, it means that the new season is most likely going to be aired next year at the earliest.
On the other hand, a new update from Toonami revealed that apart from the scheduled July 16 release of “One Punch Man” season 2 English dub, season 2 will also be carrying out its original release date this October. Well, that has to be the best news to come out of the “One Punch Man” saga, with its fans painstakingly waiting for news about it since the start of the year.
There has to be a bunch of additions in the new season, including the introduction of several characters, as well as new villains. And while most are likely going to wait it out, the best way to kill boredom and cut the excitement a bit is to read the manga series for the moment.
