“One Piece: Burning Blood” is the latest and upcoming game based on the hit manga and anime franchise. The game features new characters, new skillsets, and new abilities that were recently introduced in the anime and manga.

Just recently, game publisher BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment released a new gameplay footage from the game demo that was made available back at the previously held Jump Festa 2016 in Japan.

The new gameplay showcases the 3v3 battle system of the game, where players get to pick their three desired characters to take to battle. The video featured a battle between Luffy, Sabo, and Ace against Crocodile, Kuzan, and Franky.

The fight showed real-time environmental damage, where the surroundings get affected as the fight progresses. Also, Logia abilities of Devil Fruit users seem to be available to be activated at any point in the game but are not usable as passive abilities. The fight also featured special skills of each character complete with cut scenes before the execution. The use of “Haki” was also demonstrated.

Most of all, the gameplay demo showcased Luffy’s transformation to his Gear Fourth form, a new level of his power recently introduced in the manga and set to make an anime debut as well.

A second gameplay video was also released, which featured a fight between Luffy, Zoro, and Franky against Crocodile, Bartolomeo, and Kuzan. The battle stage in the gameplay video was set at the Coliseum, one of the most iconic places in the Dressrossa Arc of the series. Flashy skillsets of each of the characters were showcased, and the battle ended with a tag team attack of Zoro and Franky.

“One Piece: Burning Blood” releases for the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, and the PlayStation 4 in Japan on April 1, 2016. The game will be having an English release sometime around this year.
