An interesting plot detail for the second half of season 5 of ABC’s fantasy series “Once Upon a Time” may have been inadvertently spoiled by the show’s composer.
Reports claim that composer Mark Isham recently posted on his Instagram an image of music notes for episode 12, suggesting what could be the possible return of a major character. Although he has already deleted the photo, some fans were able to save a copy of it, which has the title of the upcoming installment “Souls of the Departed” and the words that read “Neal’s Warning” can be seen beneath.
Viewers may remember that Neal, also known as Baelfire, was the first love of lead character Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and the father of Henry (Jared Gilmore). He was portrayed by Michael Raymond-James and was last seen in season 3 where he met his demise because of Zelena (Rebecca Mader) trying to control his father Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle).
Since the narrative of the fifth season will have the Underworld with the heroes trying to save Hook, it is probable that Neal may comeback. However, it remains to be seen if this comes to fruition.
Meanwhile, the midseason premiere will introduce a new character from the classic fairy tale “Beauty and the Beast.”
According to Variety, actor Wes Brown joins the cast as a guest star for the role of Belle’s (Emilie de Ravin) dangerous suitor Gaston. His storyline is teased to bring the fans back to the time when Belle has yet to meet Rumple.
Series creator and executive producer Adam Horowitz also shared the news on his followers saying, “Be our guest and please check out who’s coming to #OnceUponATime.” However, in which episode he will make an appearance has not been set yet.
Season 5 of “Once Upon a Time” returns on March 6 at 8 P.M.
