NBC recently released the first look of some old and new characters for the revamped series, “Heroes: Reborn,” slated for release on September 24.
Five posters have been revealed featuring Jack Coleman, Ryan Guzman, Danika Yarosh, Robbie Kay and Francesca Eastwood.
According to the show’s official description, Coleman plays returning character Noah Bennet also known as H.R.G. On the new show, he is said to be in hiding from people who blame the heroes for the terrorist attack on Odessa, Texas. He will be hunted down by Quentin Frady, portrayed by Henry Zebrowski, in order to make him realized the truth behind the tragedy.
Newcomers to the series include Guzman portraying the character of Carlos, a former soldier who will become a “different kind of hero”; Yarosh as Malina, a teenager with a sheltered upbringing and who is said to be destined for something great; and Kay as the awkward teen Tommy, who wishes to be with Emily, the girl of his dream, while hoping to live a normal life.
Meanwhile, there is no official word on what role Eastwood will be playing.
A reboot of 2006 hit series, Reborn will pick up from the finale of season five where known heroes were forced into hiding or are running away from threats.
It will also bring back beloved old characters such as Hiro Nakamura, Mohinder Suresh, Matt Parkman and The Haitian to cross paths with the new ones. Together, they will try to save the world.
Executively produced by James Middleton, Peter Elkoff, Imperative Studios and Universal Television, the new show will have 13 episodes chronicling the lives of people on their journey of discovering that they have extraordinary abilities.
It will be written by Tim Kring and directed by Matt Shakman. Other stars include Zachary Levi, Judith Shekoni, Gatlin Green, Kiki Sukezane and Rya Kihlstedt.
