The upcoming model of the MacBook Pro could bring an end to MacBook Air.

According to GMA Network, Apple will soon release a 13-inch MacBook Pro that will follow the MacBook pro line up.

The upcoming device will be thinner and lighter than the MacBook Pro. It is said to include several new features inspired by Apple’s mobile devices. The device is expected to compress the hardward by utilizing low-rise butterfly mechanism swtiches. In addition, the battery will be greatly improved for the device, allowing users more time to use without charging.

It will also include a USB-C port, which will be faster than the previous models. It will also have Thunderbolt ports for the different uses of the MacBook. Meanwhile, the device will not present much upgrades as it is expected to use the Force Touch trackpads.

The MacBook Pro is also expected to integrate the Touch ID fingerprint recognition technology, present in the Apple mobile devices. It will include an OLED touch bar which will bring ease to the user. Meanwhile, some reports hope that the upcoming device will bring new features such as build in 4G.

This update could revolutionarize Apple’s line and present competitive advantage over the other laptops in the market. However, there are reports suggesting that the new move will bring a change in Apple’s line up since new MacBook is expected to present the same features as the MacBook Air. Some experts believe that the release will end the MacBook air line.
