“NCIS” (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is less than a week away from premiering brand new episodes for the latter half of season 13. The police procedural drama has been in hiatus since episode 11, titled “Spinning Wheel,” which aired Dec. 15. “Spinning Wheel” put Ducky Mallard (David McCaullum) in the spotlight as he revisited the supposed murder of his half brother, while Ellie Bishon (Emily Wickersham) and Jake Malloy (Jamie Bamber) try to sort their marriage out.
When the show comes back next year, viewers will see Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and Delilah Fielding (Margo Harshman) spending their first Valentine’s Day together after moving in. It has been a big step for the couple given their shared history and fans are curious if the day would go on without a glitch.
Furthermore, episode 12, titled “Sister City (Part 1),” will be putting Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) in a tough position as her brother Luca (Tyler Ritter) will be the person of interest in a mass murder. Luca is a chef on a private plane and when passengers en route to Washington D.C. mysteriously get poisoned one by one, all eyes are going to be on him.
“Sister City” will be the first of a two-part crossover with “NCIS: New Orleans” which will still have Luca’s situation as the forefront of the matter. The second part of the story will feature two investigative bodies working on the case which will eventually lead them to the real suspect and a Russian agent.
CarterMatt also reported that Rocky Carroll will be back in the show to direct episode 13 titled “Dj vu.” The official synopsis reads, “While investigating the murder of a seaman who was set to testify before a grand jury, the NCIS team uncovers the resurgence of an international human-trafficking ring. Also, McGee hopes to spend the night at a colleague’s home after a storm causes massive power outages in the city.”
“NCIS” season 13 will be back with brand new episodes on Jan. 5, 8 P.M. only on CBS.
