The upcoming episode of the American police procedural drama “NCIS” season 13 will have First Lady Michelle Obama as a guest star.

About two weeks ago, news surfaced regarding the “NCIS” crew and Mark Harmon, who plays NCIS Supervisory Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, on set around the White House. When asked by the media, Harmon revealed that the First Lady will be participating in one of the episodes of the television show. It looks like fans will have to wait for just a few more days as they will finally see what her role is and what the story will be.

Titled “Homefront,” episode 22 will see Special Agent Gibbs joining what looks like a collaborative meeting in the White House. Aside from this, the upcoming episode will also feature a teenager who becomes involved in a case as well as the important mission of NCIS Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) and Senior FBI Special Agent Tobias Fornell (Joe Spano).

The official synopsis on TV Guide reads, “A 14 year-old foils a home invasion but Gibbs suspects the teen is withholding pertinent details. Meanwhile, Vance and Senior FBI agent Fornell travel to London to investigate a case involving an escaped British spy. Later, First Lady Michelle Obama welcomes Gibbs to the White House for a ‘Joining Forces’ roundtable with military spouses.”

Episode 22 of “NCIS” season 13 will air on May 3 at 8 P.M. EST on CBS.

Meanwhile, the season will be airing two more episodes after “Homefront,” as it is expected to conclude in May 17. The season finale is going to be a bittersweet ending, as it will also mark the exit of NCIS veteran cast Michael Weatherly.

According to executive producer Gary Glasberg, his character will face some “crossroads” that will make him decide to leave his team, noted a special report from TV Guide.

Nonetheless, he teased that there will be “really significant surprises”. Glasberg added, “Expect more familiar faces and more names, and certainly as NCIS has proven to do in the past, expect the unexpected and expect some danger.”
