After a two-week break, “NCIS New Orleans” will return on Tuesday night to air its last episode for the year.
Titled “Blue Christmas,” episode 11 will explore the struggles of Loretta Wade (C.C.H. Pounder) particularly with her adopted son. In the synopsis posted by TV Guide, the narration goes, “The evidence from a string of deadly Christmas burglaries lead the team to Wade’s adopted son.”
It looks like clues point to Danny (Christopher Meyer), putting him behind bars. In the trailer of the upcoming episode, the scenes first focused on the holiday festivities that Dwayne Cassius Pride (Scott Bakula) and the rest of the staff are enjoying. After which, the snippets shift to a masked robber dressed in a Santa suit trying to hush a tied up woman. In their investigation, it seems that Pride’s team found evidences against Danny, as he is carrying items that is connected to a murderer. Toward the end of the teaser, Wade said that her son will get a lawyer before saying anything to Pride.
Meanwhile, the upcoming episode will also see the story of Christopher LaSalle (Lucas Black), Meredith Brody (Zoe McLellan), and Sonja Percy (Shalita Grant) in Christmas cheers as they show scenes that will fit in time for the holiday mood. The synopsis continues, “Elsewhere, LaSalle and Brody tease Sonja about the high stakes of drawing Pride in the Secret Santa exchange.”
Episode 11 will have several guest stars including New Orleans Police Department Detective Dinah Clark (Christina Cox), Master at Arms Daryl Brown (Marcus Lyle Brown), Navy Commander Thomas Freeman (Rick Peters), Alonzo Brown (Daniel Francois), Ronnie Doyle (Jeff Pope), Dani Dare (CJ Malloy), Sofia Freeman (Erica Dasher), Shelly Freeman (Elise Fyke), Beth (Emily Marie Palmer), and Jake (JC Gonzalez).
“NCIS New Orleans” will air on Dec. 15 on CBS with “Blue Christmas.” It will take another two-week break and will return with episode 12, titled “Sister City: Part 2” on Jan. 5.
