The upcoming episode of “NCIS: LA” season 7 will look into the case of the North Korean spy who was captured earlier. However, their more pressing case may be a member who seems to be a double-crosser.
Titled, “Granger, O.,” episode 22 of the police procedural drama spinoff will have a huge part of the story focused on NCIS Assistant Director and Special Agent Owen Granger (Miguel Ferrer). He will be transporting back his long lost daughter Jennifer Kim (Malese Jow), the North Korean spy who was captured in the earlier episodes of the season.
The official summary posted on TV.com for the upcoming episode reads, “Granger escorts Jennifer Kim, a North Korean spy who is his long-lost daughter, back to Los Angeles and interrogates her.”
The case becomes even more complicated as there seems to be an infiltrator inside the “NCIS: LA” team. In the promotional trailer for episode 22 of the show, it gives a preview of different people doubting each other, as the words “the spy games begin” flash on screen. After which, it quickly gives a glimpse of some dangers looming ahead. It also shows a sneak peek of Kim and Granger’s flight back, where the former asks her father if “there is someone in the organization that he does not trust.”
The video also hints that “one secret could bring NCIS LA to its knees” as it continues to show action-packed scenes of men using their guns to attack or defend. Toward the end of the clip, it shows Special Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) asking Hetty (Linda Hunt) what is the matter, but the latter only replies, “It’s complicated.”
No matter how serious the case may be, the team still finds time to have some fun. In a longer preview for the upcoming episode, it shows Special Agent Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), Detective Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), Sam, and Special Agent Callen (Chris O’ Donnel) playing basketball, most likely before they find out about the mole.
Episode 22 of “NCIS: LA” season 7 will air on April 18 at 10 P.M. EST on CBS.
