The upcoming episode of “NCIS: LA” season 7 seems to be gearing towards a not-so-happy reunion between the team and psychologist Nate Getz in episode 21 of the police procedural spinoff.
Nate Getz (Peter Cambor) usually appears in the episode after Special Agent Hetty’s (Linda Hunt) team undergoes a troublesome experience such as the torture of Detective Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) before. However, he was asked to go on an undercover mission earlier and may not return as the same person he was before.
Titled “Head of the Snake,” the synopsis noted on Enstarz reads, “After Operational Psychologist Nate Getz (Peter Cambor) fails to check in with Hetty while working undercover on a mission linking organized crime to terrorism, the team learns he is working with an infamous crime leader.”
Earlier last month, the spoilers reported by Entertainment Weekly revealed that the team will find out about him after seeing him in a security footage stealing some military weapons. Special Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) and Special Agent G. Callen (Chris O’ Donnel) will look for him, but the psychologist will betray them and coerce information out of Agent Callen through torture. Was Getz a double-crosser from the start? Or did he find out something that caused his loyalty to the “NCIS: LA” team waver?
Fans will find out when “NCIS: LA” air episode 21 on April 11 at 10 P.M. EST on CBS.
The titles for the next three episodes were also revealed. They are “Granger, O.,” referring most likely to a name, “Where There’s Smoke,” and “Talion.”
Meanwhile, the spinoff has been renewed for an eighth run, slated to air in the 2016 to 2017 season. With already seven installments aired, the show continues to have a steady number of audience with an average of 8.75 million viewers, 1.34 million of which from the 18 to 49 age group.
