Highly anticipated next installment in CyberConnect 2’s fighting game “Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” is rumored to include online multiplayer experience alongside new and improved features.

The multiplayer will reportedly give opportunities to players in different parts of the world to converge and fight among themselves to see who will come out on top.

Reports claim that aside from online elements, the game will also have a downloadable content pack that debuts an open-world game mode dubbed Adventure Mode. Based on the recent issue of Japanese magazine VJump, the setting allows players to roam around Hidden Leaf Village and Hidden Sand Village on their own accord.

With Adventure Mode, gamers will also have several missions that when accomplished successfully will reveal some exciting events and cut scenes. The user will also have the freedom to choose between controlling Naruto or other characters adapted from the anime and manga series the game is based on.

There are currently three DLC packs planned for Naruto Shippuden in addition to Season Pass. The packs are said to include playable character such as Boruto and Sarada from “Boruto: Naruto the Movie” and two another scenarios that have new combination secret techniques and special timed events. However, it remains to be seen what the specific details the developers have incorporated in each content.

According to Geek Snack, the version of the game to be released in China will receive a traditional Chinese costume for Naruto and there is no official statement from the developers yet if they will become available in other regions.

The report added that videos of gameplay have made their way online, showcasing several matches that pitting characters against each other such as Hanabi Hyuga, Neji Hyuga, Hinata Hyuga, Itachi Uchiha, Shisui Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, Might Guy, Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno.

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is slated to hit the shelves sometime in 2016 for different platforms.
