An expansion for fighting video game “Naruto Shipp?den: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” has been rumored for some time already and Bandai Namco Entertainment even teased of a looming announcement. Before this week’s Tokyo Game Show (TGS) event, Bandai Namco finally confirmed that “Naruto Shipp?den: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto” will be released internationally on Feb. 3, 2017.
The expansion alone will cost $19.99, but players must also own the base game to be able to run the expansion since “Road to Boruto” only contains new content.
Gamers who do not own a copy of “Naruto Shipp?den: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” may get the packaged box release deal instead since it includes the expansion, the base game, and all previously released downloadable contents (DLCs). This package will cost $49.99. “Road to Boruto” will be available on PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows PC via Steam.
The expansion will only be available on the PS4 console in Japan, however, they do get the game earlier on Feb. 2, 2017. All releases in the country also get a limited edition downloadable soundtrack.

A representative of the company spoke with Polygon and he revealed that even though “Road to Boruto” is an expansion, it still features “a huge volume of content.” He also said that “Road to Boruto” would be the last DLC for ” Naruto Shipp?den: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.”
The game will follow the storyline of “Boruto: Naruto the Movie,” which includes the Uchiha Sasuke vs. ?tsutsuki Kinshiki fight. Besides Uzumaki Boruto and Uchiha Sarada, the expansion will also feature more characters and several new areas to explore.
