After the popular manga by Masashi Kishimoto, Naruto, ended on November 10, 2014, fans have been waiting for the release of the newest video game based on it entitled “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.”
Scheduled to be launched in February 2016, the fighting game will be available on XboX One, PlayStation 4, Steam, and Windows desktop computers. According to the company’s news release, BANDAI NAMCO Games America Inc. Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Chris Gilbert, “The Ultimate Ninja STORM series continues to be one of our most popular franchises and its leap to the new generation of hardware ensures that it won’t stop now.”
IGN reported that the game was supposed to be debuted this year. However, Hiroshi Matsuyama of CyberConnect2 (CC2) said that the delay was attributed to the other improvements needed to be included in the game such as in terms of special animations for different characters and boss fights. Also, the CC2 team needed more time to further develop the gameplay volume, which will allow players to explore the game’s environment.
Aside from the characters already featured in the previous versions of the game, CC2 will add more. Among these is Susanoo Kakashi, or the final version of Kakashi with two Sharingans after Obito lent him his eyes. The two characters will also have an ultimate jutsu which will enable them to team up during a fight.
Exclusive DLC characters were also released for those who pre-ordered the game. Some of these include the ones in “The Last: Naruto the Movie”. Sarada and Boruto, the characters introduced in “Boruto: Naruto the Movie,” are also exclusive in the game.
More updates are set to be released by CC2 as the official release of “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4” worldwide nears and during the New York Comic Con in October 2015.
