Bandai Namco Entertainment’s upcoming fourth installment in the fighting game series, “Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja 4,” will be adding Shisui Ichiha and Itachi’s complete Susanoo forms in the roster of its playable characters.
According to Anime News Network, the 45th issue of “Weekly Shonen Jump” magazine reveals the news to the delight of fans.
The characters have been created just for the game by original creator Masashi Kishimoto following his previous exclusive design for Akatsuki group in the predecessor, “Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution.”
Based on a scanned copy of the magazine provided by ShonenGomez via Geek Snack, Shisui’s form will be in green while Itachi will have a red one.
Aside from the two additions, the game developed by CyberConnect 2 features the reportedly largest number of fighters in the history of the franchise.
From the trailer released by Playstation Japan, the roster may include characters from the fight between Madara and Hashirama. For those who will avail a copy during the Japan’s launch, game enthusiasts will also have a chance to get their hands on the lead characters Boruto and Sarada from “Boruto: The Naruto Movie. Meanwhile, during the initial release, Naruto and Sasuke as they appeared in “The Last Naruto the Movie” will also be made available.
Moreover, there will also be new costumes for Sakura and Hinata while Shinobi World War will be recreated.
Speculations suggest that since the game is still under development, more playable characters, updates and further changes may be incorporated and more announcements presumably start rolling in the next few months.
Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja 4 is slated for release next year in different regions: February 4 in Japan, February 5 in Europe and February 9 in North America. It will be available across platforms such as Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
