Upcoming episodes 476 and 477 of hit anime series “Naruto Shippuden” are rumored to be extra special as they may be aired as an hour-long installment featuring the touted epic fight between former friends, Sasuke and Naruto.
According to reports, contrary to popular belief that Sasuke may be evil due to his recent actions, his reasons for doing so seem to come from his love for peace and protecting Konoha. It can be recalled that he decided to kill the five Kages trapped in Infinite Tsukuyomi, eliminate all the tailed beasts and finally fight his friend Naruto.
However, despite his seemingly negative deeds, he apparently only wants to ensure that the peace will continue in the village the ninja is most loyal to. Since the current power structure exists, there is still a threat to the world which includes Jinchuuriki Naruto. He is said to be the ultimate weapon sought after by all the nations when they bid for a war.
Since the installment is said to be for an hour, a lot of flashbacks and dialogues are predicted to take place which will elaborate on the long-running conflict of the narrative. The first half is apparently titled “The Final Battle Part 1,” followed by the latter half appropriately dubbed as “The Final Battle Part 2.” Naruto is expected to convince Sasuke to give up his plans and live among the Leaf ninjas again.
As the episodes mark the conclusion of the franchise, some fans believe that if the anime moves forward with more stories, they could turn up to be fillers focusing on different characters after the epic battle.
Some suggest that the anime could adapt the arcs of the “Naruto Hiden” novel series illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto but written by entirely different authors. The plot is said to revolve around the events of the village including the lives of Kakashi, Gaara, Sakura and Shikamaru. However, since there is no official announcement yet, available information should be taken with a grain of salt.
Episodes 476 and 477 of “Naruto Shippuden” are slated to air on Thursday, Sept. 29 on Tokyo TV.
