'Naruto Shippuden' episode 473 spoilers: Obito returns to help Kakashi one last time

Last time on “Naruto Shippuden,” Obito sacrificed himself to save the others from Kaguya. After Sasuke was transported to another dimension by Kaguya, Obito, Sakura and Naruto were able to get the other fighter back, at a terrible cost to Obito. However, it appeared that he was more than ready to die as he stopped Kakashi from sacrificing himself.

In episode 473 titled “The Sharingan Revived,” the focus will be on Kakashi as he will be seen using two Sharingans. One was given to him by Obito, and Kakashi will use this in a fight. Obito will also be a part of this episode as he appears as his younger self in the preview.

The promo clip starts with a young Obito and Rin holding hands, and Rin is urging Obito to come with her. Obito asks if she minds waiting a bit longer, as they only have to do “a little bit before we move on.”

“I’d like to make one more detour along the way,” says Obito.

“Really? Who do you want to save this time?” Rin asks.

The preview also shows Sakura taking her best shot as she punches Kaguya in the head. Later, a young Sasuke is seen extending his hand to Obito towards the end of the clip.

Obito’s death in the previous episode likely signals that the long running series, which is based on the “Naruto” manga series by Masashi Kishimoto, is heading to an end. In the penultimate volume of the manga, Obito reunites with Rin in the afterlife, but before going, he transfers his energy to Kakashi so that he could use his Mangekyo Sharingan. With the help of Kakashi and Sakura, Naruto and Sasuke manage to defeat Kaguya.

In the last volume of the manga, Sasuke reveals his true intentions, and an epic fight between Naruto and Sasuke takes place. The battle ends with both fighters losing an arm, and years later, Naruto gains a new arm and marries Hinata, and their son Boruto’s adventure begins.
