The most recent filler arc of anime “Naruto Shippuden,” which began with episode 465 titled “Ashura and Indra,” opened the story of Ashura Uchiha and Indra Senju the heirs of their respective clans. Notably, the Uchiha and the Senju clans are also where Sasuke and Naruto have originated from, respectively.
The filler arc tells the conflict between Ashura and Indra, as they contend to be the heir of the art of Ninsh? and to be able to control and command chakra. In episode 466, titled “The Tumultuous Journey,” the tension between Ashura and Indra continued to grow.
In the upcoming episode 467, titled “Ashura’s Decision,” Ashura will be put in a tough situation where he will be faced with making a decision specifically, whether to take a particular action that is needed to be done. In the preview trailer for the upcoming episode, it was shown that Ashura would decide something about the Divine Tree.
In the arc, the Divine Tree gives abundance to the land of the Uchiha. However, the Divine Tree was said to have some kind of adverse effect for them as well, which would prompt Ashura to do something about it.
In other news, it appears that these recent filler episodes for the anime have been a disservice to its fans despite the storyline appearing to have at least the tiniest bit of relevance in relation to the canon story.
Feedback from fans is that they are already waiting for the next canon episode which is said to feature the epic climactic fight between Sasuke and Naruto against Kaguya, the Mother of Chakra. Once that comes to pass, the “Naruto Shippuden” anime is expected to finally come to a close. The filler episodes are said to be called by some as “unnecessary” episodes and are said to be stealing the spotlight away from the main story.
The next episode of “Naruto Shippuden” airs on July 7.
