Naruto Shippuden new episode: one-shot short Naruto Gaiden 'The Day Naruto Became Hokage' tells Hokage Inauguration story

Longtime fans of widely popular manga series, “Naruto Shippuden” have another chance on revisiting their favorite characters with the upcoming another installment in the story.

Following the completed version of “Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring” miniseries, there will be a one-shot Naruto Gaiden edition which continues on the day that Naruto becomes the Seventh Hokage. It is included in “Naruto Secret: Scroll of Country Official Moviebook,” made available in Japan on August 7.

According to an unofficial translation in iDigital Times, the plot will focus on the happenings in Uzumaki family starting from the morning of the Hokage Inauguration.

Hinata picks up the Haori and told Naruto to go to the venue with the kids. When she arrived, Kakashi asked her where Naruto is. Shocked that her family is not there yet, Hinata went home to find out what caused the delay.

Back at their house, Boruto and Himawari are fighting because the latter wants to bring her stuffed panda to the ceremony while the former says to just leave it. When they were tugging at the toy, it rips in half. Furious and crying, Himawari has triggered the activation of her Byakugan and flings Boruto to the wall.

Stunned by the turn of events, Naruto aids his son while Himawari conjured another attack. To protect them both, he stands in between them and Hima accidentally hits his chakra points and knocks him out.

At the event, Shikamaru said that Konohamaru has to impersonate Naruto using his transformation jutsu, and accept his recognition.

Meanwhile, Hinata got home and finds out Naruto lying on the floor. Boruto hides from her sister who is described to have the same eyes and powers as her mother.

Reports claim that an official English translation may be in the works. However, no confirmation from the creators have been made yet.
