Netflix has already renewed “Narcos” for a third and fourth season, but what can viewers expect from the show now that Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) is sleeping six feet under? Season 3 is going to focus on the events that took place after Escobar’s death and the rising Cali cartel.
As expected, the series is going to introduce a lot of new faces to replace the characters who have been killed off or have left to do other things. So, who are these people?
“Con este genio para” is “with this genius for” in Spanish. So, that about confirms that Cmara is going to appear in the upcoming season. Netflix hasn’t officially announced this yet, though. And the role he’s going to play is still unknown as of the moment, although some believe he’s going to be part of the Cali cartel.
Meanwhile, Kerry Bishe’s casting as Christina has already been confirmed. She will be playing an American woman with a Colombian husband involved in the drug trade. Michael Stahl-David and Matt Whelan are also going to part of the show for season 3.
Stahl-David has been cast as Chris Feistl, a “young American DEA agent who sought out assignment to Colombia as the drug trade shifts to the Cali Cartel’s takeover.” Whelan is going to portray his partner, Daniel Van Ness.
Boyd Holbrook as Steve Murphy remains unconfirmed, but there is still a possibility he may appear in season 3.
“We’re still working it out. Steve didn’t retire from the DEA until, I believe, two years ago. He was very active in the DEA for a long time so I’ll leave that up to you to find out,” Holbrook told The Hollywood Reporter.
“Narcos” season 3 will probably air sometime in 2017 on Netflix.
