Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon’s tweets have recently been filled with a lot of exciting news for fans of the franchise who are waiting for the latest downloadable content for Mortal Kombat X.
The game developer recently announced that among the latest DLCs for Mortal Kombat X the release of a new patch which will introduce gameplay and character specific fixes, reported Attack of the Fanboy.
The latest patch will include a new DLC character Tanya as well as new costumes for Sonya Blade, Liu Kang, Kano, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, and Reptile. The patch is now available on PS4 and will make its way to Xbox and PC, reported MP1st.
Tanya will be sporting an updated look as well as cool finishing moves.
Boon also teased about the character of Blanche who often appears in the Outworld Marketplace. The new DLCs, he said, will realize the players’ clamor to make the old lady a stage brutality that will let them finish off opponents in style.
Recently, fans have discovered that Blanche, who players are used to throwing at their opponent as a weapon, actually has the ability land on the opponent and finish them by punching them in the face. The word Brutality later appears on the screen, The Gospel Herald said.
This has become known as the “Blanche Advantage.”
According to Boon, aside from updates to old characters, the Maskmurder pack released last April allows players to use the character of Friday the 13th character Jason Vorhees. Another DLC pack Hunterprey which will be released on May 24 will allow fans to play as the Predator from the movie franchise. The pack will also feature a skin on the pack with Carl Weathers as Jax.
Mortal Kombat X will also release the The Samurai Pack: Samurai Shinnok, Ronin Kenshi, and Jingu Kitana; The Ultimate Horror Pack: Vampiress Mileena, Kraken Reptile, and Pharaoh Ermac; The Klassic Pack #1: Klassic Sonya, Klassic Liu Kang, and Klassic Kano; The Predator and Prey Pack: Infared Scorpion, Commando Johnny, and Carl Weathers as Dillon for Jax; and The Klassic Pack #2: Klassic Jax, Klassic Kung Lao, and Klassic Quan Chi.
