'Mortal Kombat X' news: New skins for Takeda and D'vorah, Pack 2 set to arrive in first half of 2016

Ever since Ed Boon teased fans through his Twitter account two months ago regarding the upcoming four new characters of “Mortal Kombat’s” DLC, the guessing game never ceased as fans have been trying to figure out who the silhouetted characters are. However, the speculations were temporarily shelved as news about the new skins for some characters was released.

One fan asked when newer characters such as Takeda and D’vorah are going to get new skins, to which Boon simply replied “They’re comin…” Although fans seem satisfied with the newest additions, they cannot help but also ask about new skins for other characters such as Sonya, Cassie Cage, and Erron Black.

Meanwhile, so much guessing has been made for the upcoming four new playable characters. These include Drahmin, Rain, Sindel, Havik, Smoke, Spawn, Baraka, Bo Rai Cho, Alien, Sindel, Fujin, Noob Saibot, and even Wolverine of Marvel.

Of course, the guesses are not without bases. For one, Drahim, Rain, and Sindel are already in the game, but not as playable characters. On the other hand, there were reports that Todd McFarlane, the artist behind the character Spawn, has given Warner Bros to use his character, so it is not far for “Mortal Kombat X” to take advantage of this privilege.

The pool of characters slated for the second DLC is said to be “darker” compared to the first Mortal Kombat X Pack, which included Predator from the “Predator” series, Tanya from “Mortal Kombat 4,” Tremor, from “Mortal Kombat Special Forces,” and Jason Voorhees of the “Friday the 13th” film. Jason Voorhees was also recently added on the mobile version of the game.

The “Mortal Kombat X” release of Pack 2 is slated to come in the first half of 2016.
