NetherRealm Studios didn’t really announce that they were developing a new Kombat Pack for “Mortal Kombat X,” and all “Mortal Kombat” co-creator Ed Boon did was post a couple of mischievous teasers on his Twitter account the past few months. But somehow people seem to believe that NetherRealm is getting ready to release Kombat Pack 3.
Well, the studio knows that fans want new content for the game. Just take a look at this poll Boon conducted on his Twitter account. And this one as well. It appears that the fans have spoken. The question is: are they going to give the fans what they want?
There are reports saying that the third Kombat Pack will come out once the studio is done with “Injustice 2.” That game is supposed to come out sometime in 2017, so gamers who want a new downloadable content (DLC) pack for “Mortal Kombat X” will probably have to wait until that is out of the way.
Gamenguide seems to think that Kombat Pack 3 will come out in June 2017, if “Injustice 2” comes out later this year or early next year. The publication did not reveal a source, though. It should be noted that this is only a theory, so readers should not get their hopes up until an official announcement is made.
Meanwhile, it is time to take a look at what the rumor mill has to offer this time around. Sources say the DLC pack will feature Baraka, Noob Saibot, Sindel, Rain, and Fujin. So far, numerous reports have been saying that the five characters will be in Kombat Pack 3; perhaps fans of the game really want NetherRealm to include them in the game. These characters are non-player characters (NPCs) right now in “Mortal Kombat X.”
Right now, this DLC pack hasn’t been confirmed yet, so fans will have to sit back and see if NetherRealm is going to listen to their requests.
