If the rumors of a new downloadable content (DLC) pack for “Mortal Kombat X” are true, then NetherRealm Studios should be hard at work developing the expansion right now. So, when will the third “Kombat Pack” come out? Right now, the studio has yet to announce that they are officially working on a new DLC.
The person who fanned the flames of the rumored “Kombat Pack 3” was none other than “Mortal Kombat” co-creator Ed Boon. Earlier this week, Boon posted a meme on his Twitter account that teased the existence of the third “Kombat Pack.”
Boon is known to tease fans on Twitter. He also posted a survey last month asking fans if they were planning to buy an Xbox One S. The question was innocent enough until his followers saw the answer choices for the survey.
While Boon continues to troll “Mortal Kombat X” fans with his teases, the DLC pack does not have a release date yet, so fans will have to wait a little longer before they get their hands on it.
Reports say NetherRealm may have their hands full right now since they are also busy developing “Injustice 2.” Fans believe that the third “Kombat Pack” may probably come out after the developers are done working on “Injustice 2.”
Meanwhile, Boon revealed a new gameplay patch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players of the “Mortal Kombat XL” edition of the game. The patch will come out soon along with the PC version of the upgraded game.
The edition includes all previously released DLCs. PC gamers are usually left behind when it comes to updates to the game, so this is great news for them. Furthermore, “Kombat Pack 2” will finally be available for PC players on Oct. 4, months after its release on consoles.
Stay tuned for more “Mortal Kombat X” news.
