'Mortal Kombat X' DLC release date, news: Massive update for PC has arrived; \'XL\' to add two 'Kombat Packs'

“Mortal Kombat” fans and players on the PC platform were delighted by NetherRealm Studios’ release of the long-awaited downloadable content (DLC) for the game. As expected, the new segment for “Mortal Kombat X” brings additional game stages, combatants, and outfits.

The fighting video game that was released over a year ago will be getting the much-needed segment for its PC variant though most of the gamers initially believed that plans for it were already ditched by the game developer.

The massive update dubbed as “Mortal Kombat XL” was released a couple of days ago and consists of the “MK X” title, together with two more expansions that were previously released on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In addition, “Mortal Kombat” fans who already have the “MK X” title will be getting the newly released DLCs at a price that’s almost a steal. The first expansion dubbed as “Kombat Pack 1” will have a $5 price tag while “Kombat Pack 2” will be offered at $10. Nonetheless, fans who’ll be buying these collectively will have its price slashed down to $12. Meanwhile, the aforementioned “Mortal Kombat XL” will be offered at a steep $40.

Meanwhile, it is quite reasonable that the latest tweak will be snagging a huge chunk of memory with a whopping 23 GB file size. Given the fact that the PC version of the game was somewhat left out by NetherRealm Studios, this will be some sort of catching up with the latest developments within the title.

Fans might remember that the game’s rollout on PC last year was rather tumultuous. It can be also recalled that the game developer had later on released an update that resulted in the deletion of PC players’ progress within the game.

As abovementioned, the large-sized update is now available for PC players to download and enjoy.
