Cast member of VH1’s reality series “Mob Wives” for season six Drita D’Avanzo has been arrested for allegedly punching a woman, following an argument that turned violent.
According to Page Six, the reality star apparently threw punches at another woman in Totenville neighborhood of Staten Island, New York after a verbal dispute at approximately 4:35 P.M. last Tuesday. A law enforcement source shared that her punches caused a lip cut and a swelling on the victim’s head, but the victim reportedly refused medical attention.
D’Avanzo fled the scene using her vehicle and was later arrested in a different location at 5:36 P.M. She was charged with one count of misdemeanor and released from police custody that same evening.
The report added that the altercation did not dampen D’Avanzo’s spirit as she posted on her Twitter that she is excited for an upcoming party in her Staten Island shop. “I will be holding an event at my store next Sat!!!! Posting details soon:)) #MakeupPartayyyyy,” she stated.
Executives of “Mob Wives” have not commented yet about the situation.
Meanwhile, viewers of the show will see that the narrative will focus on Drita’s new book project and Big Ang’s debilitating health conditions.
Drita is said to be seeking for an inspiration for her book, and when she called her husband Lee for support and blessing to be featured in the story, he answered that he was skeptical and did not want the world to know about his past. Drita then told the camera, “He should support me.”
On the other hand, after a recent visit to the doctor, Big Ang learned that she might have lung cancer. She began to explore treatment options other than surgery. When her husband Neil plead for her to reconsider, she replied, “I’m not doing it. I’d rather die.”
New episodes of “Mob Wives” season 6 air every Wednesday.
