Just recently, alleged leaked renders of the upcoming Microsoft Lumia 550 smartphone made their way online, and WM Poweruser has confirmed that the alleged images as well as the supposed specification are “legit” information about the upcoming device.
According to the report, the Microsoft Lumia 550 will be coming in four colorsBright Red, Black, White, Bright Blue, and the generic White variant.
The specifications that leaked were not full, but users can now expect the Lumia 550 to come sporting a 4.7-inch AMOLED display with a 720p HD resolution. It runs under a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor, with a 1.2GHz CPU. It comes with an 8 GB worth of built-in internal storage capacity.
No release date was given as of the moment and no price information as well, but users can expect new updates to come any time soon.
In other news, Microsoft will be launching the Surface Pro 4, along with the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL at an event taking place at Skylight at Moynihan Station in New York, at 10am EDT on October 6.
Rumors around the Lumia 950 have said that the smartphone will sport a 5.2-inch OLED display with a Quad HD resolution. It runs under a 64-bit hexa core Snapdragon 808 chipset. It is expected that it will pack 3 GB worth of RAM, with 32 GB worth of built-in internal storage, with support for an external microSD expansion. As for the camera, a 20 megapixels PureView rear camera is expected, along with a 5 megapixels front snapper. It features a USB Type-C port, support for Qi Wireless Charging, and is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery.
The Lumia 950 XL is expected to have a 5.7-inch display with the same Quad HD resolution, a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 chip, and 3,300 mAh battery juice to power the device.
