Right before the month ended, Microsoft closed out July by announcing the free Games With Gold titles for August.
According to a report by Gamespot, four titles were confirmed for the month, two for Xbox One and two for Xbox 360. “Slime Rancher” from developer Monomi Park leads the way for Xbox One. It features a first-person sim game where players get to farm slime creatures.
“For Beatrix LeBeau, being a rancher can be tough. Especially when she moves a thousand light years away for her job!” said the game’s official description.
Next on the list was “Trials Fusion,” which is a platform racing game from Ubisoft. “Prepare to show off in ways you never imagined with Trials‘ intuitive and addictive gameplay,” said Microsoft. “Slime Rancher” will be free for the entire month of August while “Trails Fusion” becomes from Aug. 15 to Sept. 15.
Meanwhile, “Bayonetta” from developer Platinum Games becomes free for the whole month. The hack-and-slash video game was first released in Xbox 360 back in2009. “As a witch with magical powers and deadly weapons, you’ll flow gracefully in battle from one angelic enemy to the next in this critically acclaimed game,” read the game’s description.
Then, “Red Faction: Armageddon” will follow suit. Players can get it for free from Aug. 16-31. Developed by Volition and published by THQ, the game features third-person shooting action. “Survive hordes of enemies with friends in co-op or battle across the red planet in an epic solo campaign.”
In addition to the games, Xbox’s Major Nelson also announced the Deals With Gold for the week. A bulk of the deals is for “Call of Duty,” “Forza Horizon 2,” and “NBA 2K17”.
Last month, Xbox released the titles “Grow Up” and “Runbow” for Xbox One. Xbox 360, on the other hand, had the games “Kane & Lynch 2” and “Lego: Pirates of the Caribbean.” “Runbow” is still up until Aug. 15.
