Former Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo recently gave a statement hinting of a good development on the condition of injured F1 driver, Michael Schumacher. Di Montezemolo said that the racer is “reacting.” In line with this, fans and supporters of the iconic race car driver continue to show their support through the “Keep Fighting, Michael” hashtag on social media.
Years after meeting a tragic accident, Schumacher may finally be exhibiting signs of improved health condition. In a report by CNN, di Montezemolo gave fans renewed hope by hinting this.
“I’m very pleased to know that he is reacting,” di Montezemolo said.
However, the former Ferrari executive and a close friend of Schumacher did not go into details of what “reacting” fully means in relation to the recovery of the F1 icon.
The former Ferrari boss also expressed his faith in the strength of the racing legend, citing his determination as one of the factors that will help him get through this tough point of his life.
“I know how strong he is,” he continued. “I’m sure that thanks to his determination — which will be crucial — he will come out from this very, very difficult situation. And I really hope.”
In 2013, Schumacher met a tragic accident while skiing in the French Alps. He suffered from a serious head injury. Since then, updates regarding the health of the F1 superstar became scarce. Some suggest that the apparent news blackout is due mainly to the privacy that the Schumacher family requested.
Fans only rely on rumors and speculations and occasional brief updates from the Schumacher’s spokesperson Sabine Kehm.
