More than two years after Michael Schumacher’s tragic ski accident, fans are still waiting to hear more news about how the legendary Formula One hero is.
Schumacher suffered a devastating accident in the French Alps last December 2013. While crossing an unsecured area, it was said that the world champion fell and hit his head on a rock. Injuries sustained were significant and traumatic, causing him to remain in an induced come for half a year.
Since then, there has been very little news regarding how Schumacher has been doing. It was reported that Schumacher was moved to his Lake Geneva home in Switzerland to better cater to his recovery. With that, his manager Sabine Kehm has been the one sharing details about the racer.
Kehm, while attending a launch event for charity earlier this month, was able to give some sort of an update. “We all know that I cannot comment. We just have to accept that the family wants to continue to protect their privacy. Of course, Michael will not disappear but at the moment the private situation is so difficult that unfortunately no insight can be given. There must be understanding for this,” she explained.
Though respecting the privacy of the family, Kehm did previously address several rumors regarding Schumacher. She explained that the rumors of his ability to walk again are false. She said, “We must hope with everything we have that, with continued support and patience, he will one day be back with us.”
Because of this, fans believe that the racer’s condition has turned for the worse. Recent reports believe that his high medical fees have resulted in the selling of several properties which include a holiday pad as well as his private jet. Meanwhile, some believe that this could just be because he can no longer use them due to his condition.
Nevertheless, the Schumacher family hopes that fans will continue to show their support, as well as respect for their need for privacy. It is believed that Schumacher’s condition has resulted in a difficult time for the whole family.
