Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: PC version will be releasing September 1

Konami just revealed some good news for players who will be getting the PC version of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

According to Konami’s official press release, the PC version of the upcoming game will now be released simultaneously with the console edition, as opposed to the previous release date of September 15. Furthermore, players can now pre-order their digital copy via Steam.

“We initially did not think it would be possible to get such an epic game out onto PC in time for launch alongside its console counterparts, but all involved have worked diligently to meet the demands of our PC consumers,” commented Tomotada Tashiro, President of Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. “Now PC users will be able to explore the vibrant and beautifully-realised locations and set-pieces that elevate Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain beyond all other action titles. We feel confident that Steam users will be satisfied with the contents we will provide for the Steam version.”

As a bonus treat, every pre-order purchase also entitles the players to a free copy of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Also, they will be getting an exclusive collector’s video showing behind the scenes footage and a documentary. A free DLC of a “Venom Snake” emblem and a Mother Base Staff will be given, too.

The PC version of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain boasts of a stunning 4K resolution quality of gameplay. Add to that, the game is made to look better on systems running NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards. With that, users who will be purchasing participating models of GeForce GTX GPUs will be receiving a free copy of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

The Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Special Edition is now available for pre-order from select Japanese retailers. Special Edition of the game includes an exclusive 50-page art book that features the exclusive artwork of characters, weapons, and locations from the game, a Blu-Ray that features the making of the game, trailers, interviews, and “phantom footage”, a map of the open-world, and a DLC pack.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain comes to the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on September 1.
