'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' season 3, episode 17 spoilers: Secret Warriors assemble in tonight's episode

Daisy (Chloe Bennet) steps up to the plate and embarks on a mission to save Agent Coulson and the rest of the team in the brand new “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” which airs tonight.

Last week, Agent Coulson and the rest of the S.H.I.E.L.D. were captured by the telekinetic Inhuman called Giyera and brought to the Hydra facility. With most of the good guys held prisoner, Daisy is expected to jumpstart a special squad which will include Lincoln (Luke Mitchell), Joey (Juan Pablo Raba), and Yoyo (Natalia Cordova-Buckley) to save their fellow agents.

“They’re kind of in a tricky situation at this point,” Bennet told TV Line in reference to Agent Coulson and company trapped in the enemy’s den. “They’re going to try their best, but I think what’s so cool about S.H.I.E.L.D. is they always have faith that they’re going to kind of be saved.”

Daisy will be the leader of the new team dubbed as the Secret Warriors, which will be born in tonight’s episode aptly titled “The Team.” While every single member of the team looks solid and equipped doing the inaugural mission, spoilers suggest that at the end of the rescue operations, no member will ever be the same again.

“This episode is broken into two parts, and moving forward, nothing is going to be the same for the rest of the series. Here on out, this episode is the biggest game changer for the rest of the entire series of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D,’” Bennet revealed. By the sound of it, the upcoming episode is looking to top even Hunter (Nick Blood) and Morse’s (Adrianne Palicki) emotional goodbye to the team back in “Parting Shot” as it can potentially be the start of a new division within the S.H.I.E.L.D operatives. The beginning of the Secret Warriors can also pose a massive amount of new plot points for the show as it progresses.

Bennet also touched on the subject of the link between “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and the latest big screen offering of Marvel, “Captain America: Civil War” given that they both co-exist in the same universe.

“We have been dealing with the ideas behind “Civil War for half a season now. You have these Inhumans that everyone is saying are so dangerous, but then you see them kind of come in and pretty much save the day. That’s something to talk about.”

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” airs a brand new episode tonight, 9 P.M. EST on ABC.
